Through ASSERT, K-12 social studies teachers will have access to emerging insights and findings from social studies education research, insights that can foster purposeful social studies education and teacher education in North America and beyond.

Social studies education and related areas of interest to social studies teachers and teacher educators. Articles published in ASSERT are unique articles, and they spring from scholars’ previously-published, peer-reviewed articles. The intention of ASSERT's articles is to make core findings and implications available to teachers in a concise and accessible manner.
